Hello there!

Welcome to my little academic corner of the Internet. I am a researcher at the Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems, at Örebro University in Sweden.

Research Interests

Humans and artificial systems have different capabilities, both in perception and action. Thus I strongly believe that autonomous systems have a tremendous potential to make human’s life better and easier, especially when working with them. For this reason, my primary research interest lies in human-machine teams, especially human-machine communication. Some of the (many) questions I am currently asking myself are:

How can an artificial system communicate efficiently to a human partner?
How can an artificial system adapt to each humans individuality when it communicates?
Can efficient communication improve human’s comfort and trust toward intelligent systems?
How does efficient communication impact the performance of a human-machine team?

Short bio

I obtained a M. Eng. in Computer Science in 2010, from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (Lyon, France). In 2011, I obtained a M. Sc. in Artificial Intelligence and Decision Making from the University Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris, France). In 2015, I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Caen Normandy (Caen, France), under the supervision of Prof. Abdel-Illah Mouaddib.

Since 2016, I am a researcher at the Center for Applied Autonomous Sensor Systems (Örebro Sweden) in the Machine Perception and Interaction Lab, headed by Prof. Amy Loutfi.

In 2021, I also joined the Cognitive Robotic System Lab, headed by Prof. Alessandro Saffiotti and am now a shared resource between the two labs!

When I’m not at work…

I am a member of the French group “NoFakeScience“, who is raising awareness about the coverage of scientific information in French media.

I am attempting at popularizing AI topics on various platforms (mostly French): podcast, website articles, blog.

I am a geek, a dancer, a swimmer, and a music player. I enjoy playing games (video, board, role-playing).
